The fall PrepareRI Summit brought together statewide leaders from many different parts of Rhode Island’s career pipeline. The speakers at the Summit included: US Congressman Jim Langevin, Governor Gina Raimondo (via video), RIDE Commissioner Ken Wagner, Postsecondary Commissioner Brenda Dann-Messier and leaders from the Governor’s Workforce Board, IBM, CVS, and the Rhode Island Foundation.

Lunch (12:30 - 12:50 p.m.)

  • Lunch will be provided.

  • Participants will eat lunch in groups based on region, organized so each table represents a cross-sector pipeline of kindergarten through career. That is, district leaders, principals, teachers, college officials, and business representatives representatives from the region will be at each table.

Elective session #2: How to execute your next steps (1:00 - 1:45 p.m.)

  • The elective session outlined above will run a second time, so that participants can attend a different session

Closing Remarks (1:55 - 2:00 p.m.)

Optional: PrepareRI office hours (2:00 - 3:00)

  • Session leaders and staff from RIDE, the Governor's Workforce Board, and the Office of the Postsecondary Commissioner will be on hand to answer questions about PrepareRI and assist groups that want to begin planning.
